Samantha Burton is the founder and performance coach behind Alpha Era Girls Hockey Co., where leadership and athlete development meet empowerment and action. A former NCAA player, certified performance and mindset coach, and active girls’ hockey coach in the Burlington and Stoney Creek associations, Sam brings a unique “coach-athlete-entrepreneur” perspective to every session.
Through Alpha Era, she has built a movement dedicated to empowering female athletes to lead with confidence; on the ice, in the gym, and in life. Sam’s leadership curriculum combines high-performance training with character and confidence development, teaching girls that empowerment builds belief, resilience builds strength, and action builds change.
In The EDGE Lab, Sam leads the Leadership Development component, guiding participants through hands-on workshops and discussions designed to help them own their voice, build resilience, and take aligned action toward their goals. Her approach is rooted in the Alpha Era philosophy of Empowerment. Resilience. Action.—helping every girl see herself as both a leader and a change-maker in her sport and community.

In The EDGE Lab, Alyxandra leads the Well-being & Embodiment component, guiding athletes through grounding practices, mindfulness exercises, and movement sessions that build inner balance, presence, and personal alignment. She empowers girls to feel at home in their bodies, trust themselves, and build confidence in their leadership skills from the inside out.
The EDGE Lab is more than a program, it’s a leadership and well-being experience built by women, for girls.
Together, Alpha Era × The Grounded Edge are helping the next generation of athletes lead with confidence, move with intention, and evolve with purpose.
