I am a Hockey Canada NCCP Certified Coach and lifelong athlete with more than 28 years of competitive hockey experience across Western and Eastern Canada.
I grew up playing hockey in British Columbia during the early growth of girls hockey and was part of several inaugural girls programs as the female game expanded in the province. My teams were recognized at what was then GM Place in Vancouver, where Ron MacLean acknowledged the development of girls hockey in BC.
I went on to play four seasons with Simon Fraser University, which competes in NCAA Division II, as part of the program’s inaugural women’s hockey team. Being part of building that program from the ground up was an incredible experience and helped shape the way I approach leadership and team culture today.
After graduating, I continued competing in Alberta for two seasons in women’s hockey before eventually relocating to Ontario. Today, I continue to compete in the OWHA Women’s Senior A division in the Toronto area while also coaching and developing the next generation of female athletes.
Alongside my playing career, I have continued investing in coaching education through Hockey Canada and the National Coaching Certification Program so I can provide the best possible development environment for the athletes I work with.
