A New Chapter for Girls’ Hockey: Alpha Girls Hockey × Paramount Ice

Alpha Era Girls Hockey is entering an exciting new chapter. Starting September 2026, Alpha is partnering with Paramount Ice to launch Alpha Girls Hockey × Paramount Ice. This comprehensive girls-only hockey development pathway is designed to support female athletes from their foundational years through elite competition. This partnership combines Alpha’s girls-first development philosophy, established community, and athlete-centred programming with Paramount Ice training facilities, operational support, and experience. Together, Alpha Girls Hockey x Paramount Ice delivers year-round hockey development in a girls-only environment. 

More Opportunities for Female Athletes

Alpha Era Girls Hockey was founded to create the kind of environment young female athletes deserve: one where girls feel seen, supported and challenged to pursue their potential. That purpose remains at the centre of everything we do. Through this partnership, Alpha will be able to offer more consistent programming, expanded training opportunities and a clearer pathway for athletes at different ages and stages of development. Beginning this fall, programming will include:

* Beginner and intermediate power skating

* Beginner and intermediate hockey skills

* Advanced Power & Stride

* AA/Junior Prep

* Position-specific academies

* Shooting and scoring development

* Body Contact & Battle clinics

* Advanced offensive and defensive systems

* Seasonal development and high-performance camps

Programs will operate through 2 development streams: TRAIN, for athletes building and advancing their individual skills, and ELITE, for experienced players preparing for AA, Junior and other high-performance environments.

Built Around the Whole Athlete

The Alpha development pathway is built around 5 core pillars:

  • Skate
  • Skill
  • Think
  • Compete
  • Lead

These pillars recognize that developing a successful hockey player requires more than running drills. Athletes need strong skating mechanics and technical skills, but they must also learn to read the game, make decisions under pressure, compete with confidence and lead themselves and others. Every Alpha Girls Hockey × Paramount Ice program will connect to this larger development model. Whether an athlete is building her foundation or preparing for elite competition, she will receive purposeful coaching designed to support her complete development.

The Alpha Era Philosophy Remains

Although our programming is growing, the heart of Alpha is not changing. Our athletes will continue to train in positive, challenging and supportive girls-first environments. They will continue to receive meaningful coaching, individual feedback and opportunities to develop confidence both on and off the ice. This partnership is not the end of Alpha’s story. It is an opportunity to build on everything our athletes, families and coaches have created together, and to make that experience available to even more girls.

Looking Ahead

Fall programming begins September 11 at Paramount Ice North York, with weekly Friday, Saturday and Sunday classes and rotating Sunday Specialty Academy clinics. Registration is now open for September–December programming. We are incredibly excited about what comes next and grateful to every athlete, family and coach who helped Alpha reach this moment. This is a new chapter for Alpha, and an important step forward for girls’ hockey development.

    Train, compete, and grow in a high-energy, female-led environment built to inspire confidence, strength, and connection. Alpha Era’s Girls-Only Christmas Break Rep Clinics are designed for competitive female athletes who want to keep their edge sharp through the holiday season — while training alongside other motivated girls who share their passion for the game.
     
    Each session is designed for rep-level players (ages 8–13) who want to push their limits, refine their skills, and experience the intensity of elite-level training — led by women who have played and coached at the game’s highest levels.

    Step into a high-energy, female-led environment where girls train with purpose, confidence, and intensity. Alpha Era’s Girls-Only March Break Rep Clinics are designed for competitive female athletes ready to raise their standard and sharpen elite-level skills during the spring break window.
     
    Each clinic is tailored for rep-level players (ages 8–13) who want to push their limits and train like pros — in a space that celebrates strength, teamwork, and female empowerment.

    Players will learn from women who’ve played and coached at the game’s highest levels, building both technical skill and inner confidence in every session.

    Finish the year strong and kick off the new one with confidence, connection, and fun! Led by an all-female coaching team, Alpha Era’s Girls-Only Christmas Break Camp blends skill development, leadership, and team-building in a positive, empowering environment designed for her.
     
    Each day combines structured on-ice sessions with interactive off-ice workshops and team activities that help girls grow as players and leaders. From building confidence in their game to connecting with teammates through creative and leadership-based challenges, this camp focuses on developing resilience, empowerment, and self-belief.
     
    A hot lunch is included daily, giving players time to recharge, laugh, and celebrate the season with their teammates.

    Girls will experience a memorable week of growth, motivation, and mentorship — in a female-led, girls-only environment focused on athletic and personal development.

    This March Break, give her a camp experience that fuels confidence, connection, and creativity — both on and off the ice.

    Led by an all-female coaching team, Alpha Era’s Girls-Only Spring Break Camp is a space where girls can challenge themselves, build friendships, and grow as leaders in an uplifting, empowering environment.
     
    Each day blends structured on-ice sessions focused on teamwork and skill development with interactive leadership and confidence-building activities designed to help girls discover their voice and strengths. Between sessions, athletes will take part in team-building challenges, creative projects, and outdoor play that promote self-awareness, collaboration, and fun.
     
    A hot lunch is included daily, giving players the chance to recharge, connect, and share laughs with teammates in a supportive, girls-only atmosphere.
     
    What’s Included at Camp
     
    Girls will experience a full week of growth, mentorship, and empowerment — in a female-led, girls-only environment designed for her success.
     
    Camp Highlights:

    Girls will skate hard, train smart, and learn to lead — surrounded by positive female role models who inspire growth both on and off the ice. With a focus on fun, friendship, and female mentorship, this is more than just a camp — it’s an experience designed to help every girl discover her strength, her voice, and her next level.

    About the Speed + Power Clinic

    This high-intensity, female-focused clinic is designed specifically for rep-level players who want to sharpen their explosiveness, edge control, and acceleration on the ice. Each session focuses on stride mechanics, first-step quickness, crossover power, and efficient puck movement at top speed.

    Athletes will be challenged through technical skating drills, reaction-based competition, and small-area explosive work — building confidence and power that directly translate to in-game performance.
