At this level, the difference between players is rarely top speed. It's how quickly they change direction, how well they hold an edge under pressure, and how little energy they waste getting where they need to be. This program sharpens all three.
Over the season, athletes work on backward skating and lateral movement, explosive acceleration out of a stop, edge control at game speed, and clean transitions between forward, backward, and pivots. Drills are built around game situations, so the movements players practice are the ones they'll actually need on a shift.
