AA Girls Hockey Tryouts & Tournaments

Train. Compete. Grow your game.

Elite Tournament Experience

Players selected for Spring AA earn a roster spot on an Alpha Era tournament team and compete in two premier spring events across Ontario.
These tournaments are carefully chosen for their level of competition, pace, and exposure — giving girls the opportunity to test themselves against strong opponents and experience meaningful, high-tempo hockey.
Every game becomes an opportunity to grow, compete, and take pride in representing Alpha Era.

Don't Have a Spring Team?

You do not need to come with a pre formed team.
Alpha Era will be hosting open Spring Hockey tryouts during Christmas break. All players who register and attend tryouts will be evaluated and placed on a team that matches their caliber and age group.

Tryout registration open!

Professional Coaching and Environment

Spring AA teams are led by Coach Sam and Alpha Era’s experienced female coaching staff.

Athletes can expect purposeful, high-tempo practices, detailed bench management, and clear, direct feedback after every shift.

A focus on hockey IQ, habits, and the decisions that separate good players from elite ones

Our coaching approach is firm, positive, and built to help girls push their limits in a supportive, girls-first environment.

Player Development Focus

Player development is at the core of the Spring AA experience.
Athletes will learn what it means to show up with professionalism, accountability, and consistency — both on and off the ice.

We emphasize:

  • Clear standards and expectations each weekend

  • Teaching moments every shift, not just between games

  • Confidence and resilience through real-time challenges

  • Ownership of their development, encouraging players to take action and advocate for their growth

The goal: help girls leave the spring season stronger, smarter, and more confident — as players and as people.

The Alpha Era Difference

Training type that meets you where you are—and challenges you to go further.

Who is this for?

Alpha Era Spring AA is a great fit for:
  • Rep level and AA players who want extra high pace hockey
  • Competitive house league or A players who are ready to push for the next level
  • Athletes who love feedback, want to be coached hard, and want an environment that expects effort and accountability
Our goal is to help girls prepare for the next step in their hockey journey whether that is AA, junior, or simply a stronger season with their home association.

GIRLS-FIRST

Alpha Era is a girls first hockey environment.
We care about how players feel, how they show up, and how they grow as people, not just as skaters. You can expect:
  • Positive, direct communication
  • A focus on leadership, character, and team culture
  • Female role models and experienced coaches on the bench and in the room
